Terms of use

In short. Training and logging workouts is free and unlimited. TrainUp Pro unlocks nutrition and removes the organization limits, and Apple handles the payment. There is no account: your data lives on your iPhone, so make backups. TrainUp is not a medical service.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using TrainUp (“the App”) you accept these Terms of Use. If you don't accept them, don't use the App. Provider: TrainUp. Contact: support@usetrainup.com.

2. What TrainUp is

TrainUp is an app for logging and following your strength training: routines and programs, set-by-set workouts, per-exercise ranks, progress, steps and a food diary. It works without an account and, except for food search, exercise catalog images and purchases, offline.

3. Minimum age

You must be 16 or older to use TrainUp.

4. Your data and your backups

Your workouts, nutrition, measurements and photos exist only on your device. We keep no copy on any server: if you delete the App or lose your phone without having made a backup from the App, we can't recover them. We recommend exporting backups regularly. How we handle the little data that leaves the device is explained in the Privacy Policy.

5. Health: what TrainUp is not

TrainUp is not a medical service and gives no medical advice. The numbers you see —volume, estimated 1RM, ranks, calorie and macro goals, weight or rest suggestions— are automatic calculations based on what you enter and don't take your medical history or injuries into account.

The current list of Pro features is shown in the App before you buy. Limits are checked when you create something, never retroactively: if Pro ends, you keep everything you had already created and no data is deleted; charts only shorten the window they show. If the limits change in the future and that affects you negatively while Pro is active, we'll tell you in the App with reasonable notice.

7. Purchases and payment

Right of withdrawal (EU)

As an EU consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from digital content. By requesting immediate access to Pro you consent to its performance and acknowledge that you lose that right once performed, under Article 103(m) of the Spanish General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users. This doesn't affect Apple's refund policy, which may be more favourable.

8. Your content

What you record in the App —workouts, notes, routines, measurements, meals and photos— is yours and doesn't leave your device unless you export or share it yourself. We claim no rights over it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to decompile or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by law, not to try to bypass the free plan limits, not to resell access to TrainUp Pro and not to download the exercise catalog in bulk or by automated means.

10. Changes to the App

We may modify, add or remove features. If we remove a significant feature included in Pro, we'll tell you in the App with reasonable notice.

11. Warranties and liability

The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that it is error-free or that the calculations suit your particular case. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the rights consumer law gives you. Outside those cases, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for TrainUp in the previous twelve months.

13. Changes to these Terms

If we change them substantially, we'll bump the version number and let you know in the App.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you act as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the EU country where you live and may go to the courts of your place of residence.
